| Power Systems The company has extensive
experience in providing transformer rectifier units, power supplies, inverters, battery
chargers and power control systems to a variety of applications. It has been successful in
winning major contracts on the prestigious Eurofighter program and is recognised as a
supplier of some repute in this demanding technological market.

| Accelerometers A range of single and
multi-axis accelerometers is offered up to and including inertial grade accuracy. These
accelerometers have application on platforms as varied as aircraft, missiles and ground
transportation vehicles. The company's latest addition to its range, the FTS-10, is
recognised as the only type of its kind in Europe.

| Cockpit Instrumentation A range of cockpit instruments is offered for application in fixed and rotary
winged aircraft. Typical of the range are attitude and heading indicators, designed
primarily for standby applications and available in a number of display sizes and
presentation formats, and turn and slip indicators.

Remote Gyroscope Units
Ferranti Technologies' remote gyroscopes are specified on air, land
and sea borne platforms. A vertical gyroscope provides attitude data and a directional
gyroscope provides heading. The information provided by each can be visually displayed or
input to a control or stabilisation system.

| Speed / Distance Travelled Sensors Ferranti Technologies has developed a state of the art, non-contact, doppler
based speed sensor for application on vehicles where wheel slip / slide is prevalent.
Launch application for the device has been in the rail industry as an integral part of
traction control systems. It will also have application in modern signalling systems,
which require a high degree of accuracy in train speed and position measurement.

BridgeGuard - bridge bash monitoring system
BridgeGuard is an accelerometer-based sensing system using distributed microprocessor monitoring. The system automatically detects the impact of a road vehicle colliding with a rail bridge and provides instant assessment of likely damage.
BridgeGuard has been developed in collaboration with Railtrack plc.
