Low Visibility Landing

Operating helicopters in remote, unfamiliar, dusty areas is a hazard that crews routinely face in operations today.

Landing and taking off in dust clouds continues to be the cause of accidents and injuries for armed forces around the world.

Ferranti Technologies have developed a unique system combining aircraft sensors and an intuitive 3D Conformal Symbology that reduces the risk of lateral drift and loss of spatial awareness.  This combined with the standard DNVG-24T head up displays that are in-service worldwide, ensure safer operations in challenging conditions.

Using advanced HMD symbology, designed by operational helicopter pilots, the aircrew can fly and hover the helicopter without outside visual references while immediately recognising uncommanded aircraft movement.
