Ferranti Technologies is a world class supplier of electronic, electrical and electro-mechanical equipment to the defence, aerospace and commercial markets. The company, established in 1994 through a management buy in / buy out of part of Ferranti International plc, offers a range of proprietary products whilst also undertaking design, development and manufacture of bespoke product to customer specifications. The company excels at providing affordable solutions to technically challenging problems.

Ferranti Technologies operates from a modern 16,300 m2 site and employs some 170 people. Facilities include a comprehensively equipped electronics assembly unit, a class 10000 clean room, machine shop and environmental test centre.

The company has a well established blue chip customer base, which includes British Aerospace, GEC Marconi, Lucas Aerospace and ALSTOM Transport. Its business philosophy is to forge partnerships with its customers and suppliers, so that all may benefit in the supply chain.

Quality and Control Systems

Ferranti Technologies' business is coordinated via an integrated management information system, with a manufacturing operation that balances the forward planning of MRPII with the responsiveness and efficiency of JIT.
